'Clear they BOTH laughed': Kamala Harris fans defend VP for LAUGHING during Ukraine crisis meeting
Vice President Kamala Harris, for once, had people defending her on Twitter after some of her critics trolled her for laughing while talking about the Ukrainian refugee crisis. The American leader was in Warsaw, Poland, on March 10 as an “emissary of US resolve to protecting its NATO allies on the eastern flank," as reported by CNN.
Harris met with Poland President Andrzej Duda and they held a joint press conference. Harris told the reporters present, “I want to be very clear. The United States and Poland are united in what we have done and are prepared to help Ukraine and the people of Ukraine, full stop.” The 57-year-old also announced the plan to hand over two new Patriot missile systems to Poland along with financial aid amounting to $53 million as help refugees. She said, “the United States would help countries like Poland where massive numbers of refugees have fled the fighting.”

Harris added: “I am here in Poland as an expression of the enduring and important relationship, that, again, has been long-standing, but in particular on the issue of Ukraine is unified and is clear: we will do everything together in partnership, in solidarity to support what is necessary at this very moment in terms of the humanitarian and security needs of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.”
However, during the conference, a reporter asked Harris what the US was doing for refugees escaping Ukraine and wondered “if the US is willing to make a specific allocation for Ukrainian refugees.” The reporter also went on to question Duda and asked him if he “asked the United States to specifically accept more refugees.” After which, Harris and Duda looked at each other. The awkward pause that followed indicated that neither of them could decide who should speak first, as the question was directed to both of them. The tension was resolved when the two burst out laughing and the US politician replied first, saying, “A friend in need is a indeed.”
But Harris’ laughter was not taken well by some of her critics. American political columnist Benny Johnson, who is working as the chief creative officer at the conservative organization Turning Point USA, tweeted: “Only Kamala Harris would find it appropriate to laugh when talking about the topic of Ukrainian Refugees.” However, Harris' supporters jumped in to defend her. One of them said, “You act like other world leaders don’t laugh. This is how relationships are formed. Her and the Poland President look to be enjoying each other and having a good time. Idk why the US press wants to criticize her but obviously she booked for these trips cause these leaders love her.”

Many of us watched this live and my question is did you not even watch the video your referring to? Because it’s clear that they BOTH laughed about who would speak first. And not about refugees. Stop trying to create a problem when there isn’t one.

Black woman laughs at the awkward moment between translations (while quoting an proverb): problem. Perhaps it is YOU that is the issue, and you should also watch the entire press conference?”

I notice you didn’t say anything about the white man laughing. I wonder why? Might be the shade.

They shared a chuckle about who would go first to answer the question.
Can’t help but notice you said nothing about the fact that the president laughed as well.
